Premium MB Quart Technology
Ultra-Wide & Completely Encompassing Sound
MB Quart brand introduces two new members of the Nautic Series marine-grade loudspeakers. These marine-rated Y2008 models consist of a duo of 6-½” coaxial and component speaker systems designed for the extremely high-stress, marine environment. By focusing engineering at the highly corrosive salt-laden marine waters and the temperature extremes found in freshwater boating, the MB Quart’s Nautic designs addresses every detail of a loudspeaker which could come under attack by the extremes found in unforgiving waters. MB Quart’s “water-up” engineering approach provides the highest levels of audio performance possible, unmatched by any marine audio speakers sold in its price class.
The Nautic Series model NKE 116 is MB Quarts new 6-½” coaxial speaker set priced at $229.99 offering 1” titanium dome coaxial tweeters, fiberglass reinforced UV resistance grilles, IM polypropylene cones, water-sealed voice-coil assemblies and marine grade V4A stainless steel installation hardware.

Filling in the component category is the new NSE 216, also based on 6-½” size IM polypropylene cone. The NSE216 comes complete with separate 1-inch titanium dome tweeters controlled by water-proof 2-way crossovers and the complete marine-grade component set is priced at 249.99 a pair
“These new MB Quart marine speakers can satisfy the requirements of audiophiles and boating enthusiasts alike. Our targeted FEA engineering reveals what’s critical in manufacturing robust marine speakers. MB Quart’s FEA process results in marine speakers that sound as good as high-end home speakers.” states Alden Stiefel, President and CEO of Maxxsonics. “With our corporate and engineering headquarters being located in Chicago-land just 30-minutes west of Lake Michigan we know first hand how brutal the environment can be to marine speakers” adds Stiefel.
