Maxxsonics USA, Inc. & MB Quart
Our unassuming beginnings started in 1965, inside a modest Obrigheim, Germany factory manufacturing; microphones, headphones and ultimately all forms of loudspeakers. To put this time period into perspective, in 1966, 8-track tape players first became an OEM option in many vehicles. Today MB Quart has grown into an upscale technology-driven worldwide audio brand. The assemblage of MB Quart’s brand name came from the musical term “Quarter Note and Microphone Builder”. The origination of MB Quart’s name shows our historically rooted commitment to musical accuracy. In those 45-years, MB Quart formed many business alliances and finally in 2005, became the premier audio brand under the Maxxsonics USA corporate umbrella.
In the early 60’s Obrigheim became the site of Germany’s first nuclear power plant, and the whole area was teaming with scientists and engineers. No doubt the local environment fueled MB Quart’s thirst for innovation, science and precision engineering which continues today under Maxxsonics management.
